Sean Gunn has penned a thoughtful Twitter thread in response to his brother James Gunn getting fired from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The fan favorite director was let go by Disney after an alt-right Pizzagate troll unearthed a series of offensive tweets about rape and pedophilia. Gunn has apologized for the tweets, calling them “totally failed and unfortunate efforts to be provocative”.

Now, his brother and frequent collaborator Sean Gunn has issued a statement of his own. Sean is an actor best known for his role as Kraglin, a ravager in Yondu’s clan in the GOTG series. He also performs as the on-set Rocket Raccoon, as a motion reference actor in a green screen suit. He tweeted:

No matter what side you’re on in terms of Gunn’s firing, Sean Gunn’s response is an eloquent and valuable perspective. He hasn’t said whether or not he’ll be appearing in Guardians Vol. 3, but I hope they’ll bring him back. His work as Rocket is great, and Kraglin is a fun supporting character. Besides, he’s only just gotten the hang of Yondu’s whistling arrow.
